Overview

Title: Sr. Technical Service Rep - Chemicals & Water Treatment

Location: Louisiana (New Orleans - Lake Charles) - home office and truck for client visits

Salary Range: $53,000 - $71,000 plus a bonus

 

You will be primarily responsible for servicing our  water treatment chemicals, equipment and service programs, services and products in targeted accounts within the region. 

 

Territory/Location Information:  This position is based out of a home office and will cover the area Louisiana area

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing customer base in accordance with current service level agreements.
  • Work with management team to establish selling strategies and tactics which result in new account business generation.
  • Execute sales goals in assigned competitively-held accounts.
  • Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer complaints, escalating as required.
  • Analyze perspective customer needs and meet those needs via proposals, negotiations and business contracts.

Qualifications

  • Technical Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of successful technical service experience
  • Prefer water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience
  • Prefer working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems
  • Professional history of meeting goals and overcoming obstacles Prior experience that required excellent communication skills
  • Prior experience that required excellent organizational skills
  • Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • No immigration sponsorship offered for this role
  • The qualified candidate will be subjected to post offer consumer background check and drug screen

Physical and Mental requirements:

  • Being able to do the following in a safe and effective manner.
  • Climbing, ascending, and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and industrial equipment, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Reaching and extending hands and arms in any direction.
  • Reaching Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Standing and walking for sustained periods of time.
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and stooping for sustained periods of time.
  • Using upper extremities to move objects and equipment with steady force.
  • Sometimes working in temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
