Overview

Title:  Technical Service Representative

Travel: 0-10%. At client location in Ann Arbor, MI 

 

Compensation:  $60-70K plus bonus

 

As a Technical Service Representative you represent the company & provide a valuable service to our customers. It is important that you perform the functions of your job in a safe & professional manner.

 

The  Technical Service Representative will complete work assignments and service accounts according to previous contracts and commitments. Maintain a relationship with key customer personnel and takes full ownership for account retention.  This includes calling at executive levels, renewing contracts and selling price increases as needed.  Conduct in-plant water sampling, analyses and reporting of results. Collect operating data on equipment and is responsible for maintaining/monitoring the chemical feed program. Complete specialized studies as well as communicate effectively with Sales Reps, Customers and internal employees.

 

A Technical Service Representative is responsible for developing customer and prospect rapport and goodwill, for learning the customers’ and prospects’ operations and for becoming a producing member of the company sales and service team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain current customer base
  • Service accounts per agreement
  • Primary owner of all relationships within account
  • Improve technical and market knowledge
  • Record customer operating, system, and equipment data and inform primary representative of changes or plans for change.
  • Complete call reports, service reports and business reviews as required
  • Working with immediate supervisor to update contract agreements and work sheets, submit to CSR’s and accounting as required
  • Maintain a high standard of service and customer satisfactions so that no customer complaints originate as the result of poor customer service measured by customer care survey.
  • Performance of other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Technical Degree or Minimum 5 Years Sales or Technical Experience
  • “In-House” Training as needed to meet objectives
  • Field Training with other reps to meet objectives
  • Strong communication skills
  • Continued sales training to meet objectives
  • Mechanical aptitude, familiarity with electrical and plumbing basics related to feed and control equipment.
  • Must have a Class B license and ability to either drive a company car or be on the Kurita America Inc. FAVR program
