We have an immediate need for a Regional Manager in Water Treatment industry located in or around the Des Monies, IA Area.  

 

Remote Role

Title: Regional Manager - Managing a team of Account Managers and Technical Service Reps Selling Water Treatment Chemicals to clients all over the area

Location: Des Monies, IA  area

Travel:  80-100%  within territory

Pay: $135K-$145K base salary based on experience PLUS Bonus

 

You will be primarily responsible for revenue and profit growth of our integrated programs, services and products in targeted accounts within your assigned region.  You will be required to take a consultative sales approach with a strong emphasis on converting strategic competitive accounts.  In addition, you will be required to build long-term relationships with an existing customer base by understanding their key business drivers, executing programs, and selling new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Make customer application changes according to customer needs
  • Manage sales and service time to achieve optimal results
  • Hire, train, supervise and dismiss sales reps as necessary for region
  • Prepare and execute monthly sales meetings
  • Emphasize the value and benefits of compliance with the Kurita America Total Quality Management System requirements
  • Enhance sales rep performance by expanding customer base and increasing market share
  • Manage and service key accounts to maintain account territory
  • Share market knowledge with other sales reps and managers
  • Determine objectives and goals for sales reps in region
  • Review sales rep sales and service activity vs. sales $ generated for region
  • Verify reps completing call, service reports, business and contract reviews as required
  • Complete call reports, service reports and business reviews as required for personal accounts
  • Complete and update contract agreements and work sheets, submit to CSR’s and accounting as required
  • Verify sales reps managing contract agreements, completing and submitting necessary forms
  • Track customer satisfaction for region accounts, determine improvement opportunities to increase level of customer satisfaction
  • Work with marketing and R & D to develop new products to meet customer needs and determine new market opportunities
  • Develop and implement training programs that will improve sales rep success rate
  • Track sales rep training completion and assist as necessary to improve knowledge and abilities
  • Active participation in trade associations
  • Promote Kurita America vision and mission throughout the water treatment industry
  • Actively maintain relationships with key corporate and individual accounts
  • Entertain key customer contacts and personnel to solidify and improve business relationship

Qualifications

  • Degree in technical discipline
  • “In-House” Training in laboratory and one year field training with sales reps
  • Knowledge of water chemistry and applications
  • Proven sales success with previous positions that show consistent growth in quantity, total dollar value, increased profit margin and number of accounts sold
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to successfully manage and train sales reps to increase region value
  • Must have a Class B license and ability to either drive a company car or be on the Kurita America FAVR program
