We have an immediate need for an Engineer in the microelectronics/semiconductor space in the Phoenix area.  

Salary:  $90K 

Travel: 10 to 49%

 

Responsible for the design development of water treatment systems.  Able to perform and assist in the development of Process Engineering, P&ID drawings, plant layouts, skid assembly drawings. Prepare equipment specifications and design documents for client review, skid fabrication, and operation.

Understand GA drawing and direct subcontractor on construction site.

Responsibilities

Water Treatment System Engineering (90%)

  • Senior Engineer support for reviewing supplier’s proposal and addressing supplier’s requirement.
  • Modification project support documents such as P&IDs, layouts, proposal specifications, equipment specifications, SOO and operation manuals.
  • Visit site and supplier’s fab shop to confirm progress, requirement, question, etc and create visiting report.
  • Preparation of plant and equipment specifications, selection of equipment components based upon economical / technical merit and client requirements.
  • Responsible for support during skid design activities including: layout of equipment and piping on skid using sketches; assembling data sheets on all items on skid; reviewing design for process and ergonomic functionality, easy manufacturing, fit space criteria, structural soundness and efficiency, anchoring accessibility and meeting customer criteria; and issuing drawings for manufacture.
  • Aid equipment skid design staff in the arrangement and installation requirements of equipment components.
  • Interface with Project Management and Sales Teams to coordinate project bidding, procurement, construction, and startup requirements.
  • Interface with customer as needed including reviewing prepared equipment and layout designs, preparation of shop drawing submittals, incorporating customer requests, and addressing customer concerns.
  • Interfaces with vendors as needed to select proper equipment and components for water systems.
  • Handle troubleshooting including investigating problems, gathering data and finding solutions to customer issues.
  • Visit construction site for supervising to site contractor.

Other & Miscellaneous (10%)

  • Prepare weekly report to document progress and problems.
  • Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
  • Reviews and advises management on issues related to work activities.
  • Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors
  • Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.
  • Reports all irregular issues and problems to supervisors for solution.
  • Maintains good communication with supervisors, office staff members and outside contacts.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

 

Qualifications

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalent with five to eight years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years waste water treatment system experience including chemical precipitation system, Multimedia filtration system, etc
  • Five years experience in pumps and piping systems, SS, PVC, PP and PTFE Lined pipe.

Tools & Equipment

  • General office equipment including personal computer, printers, plotters, network file shares
  • Software includes the use of Windows operating system, MS Office with emphasis in Excel and Word.
  • Specialized engineering drawing software such as AutoCAD and Solidworks

Certificates/Licenses

  • Valid Drivers License
  • EIT preferred

Work Environment & Physical Demands

 

Work Environment - The work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those encountered when performing the essential job functions of this position.  Work is performed mostly in office environment.  Employee may infrequently need to travel to project and construction sites by car and/or plane and may be exposed to wet or humid environments including outdoor conditions with extremes of heat and cold, rotating equipment, potential exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock and vibration.  Employee work not only Louisiana but also all place in US depends on project job site.
