Job Title:  Membrane Cleaning Technician

Location:  San Marcos, CA

Comp: $24/hour

Responsibilities

  • Remove 4” x 40” and 8” x 40” reverse osmosis (RO) filters from bags and boxes
  • Load the RO filters into a testing skid
  • Record the “pre-clean” filter performance data into a computer database
  • Remove the RO filters from the test skid and load them into the cleaning skid
  • Prepare liquid and/or powder cleaning batches for recirculation through the cleaning skid
  • Remove the RO filters from the cleaning skid and load them into the test skid
  • Record the “post-clean” filter performance data into a computer database
  • Heat seal the cleaned filters in a plastic bag and place them in new boxes for return to the customer
  • Adhere necessary labels to the box exterior for identification
  • Must be forklift certified (Avista will schedule and cover the related costs of training)
  • Pick and pack pails, drums, totes from inventory using the forklift or a pallet jack
  • Consolidate packages onto a pallet and secure them for transport (i.e. shrink wrap, straps, etc).
  • Review and confirm shipping paperwork
  • Ensure all shipments are properly labeled according to ground/air/ocean regulations

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kgs)
  • Must be willing to work with cleaning chemicals use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary
  • Must be safety-oriented and detail-oriented
  • Works well in close proximity to others
  • Basic computer skills preferred
