The Project Engineering Manager leads the engineering and technical execution of water treatment system projects from proposal through commissioning. This role manages a team of engineers and drives collaboration across departments to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and timely project outcomes.

 

Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

Compensation: $80,000-$120,000

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3-4 days in office, 1-2 days remote

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from reviewing sales proposals, estimates, and customer specifications to ensuring that technical requirements are clearly defined and executed
  • Supervise and approve system design decisions, including the selection and sizing of pumps, valves, meters, and related equipment
  • Provide high-level technical guidance in areas such as water chemistry, hydraulics, and instrumentation to support system troubleshooting, customer discussions, and corrective actions.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), General Arrangement Drawings, and other key design documents
  • Ensure manufactured equipment conforms to project requirements and provide engineering calculations as required.
  • Assist Purchasing with the qualification process for new suppliers to expand Kurita America’s equipment capabilities and assist in the development of new standard product offerings.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineers involving employee lifecycle responsibilities
  • Performance of other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of water treatment experience or industrial equipment experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in management or leadership
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related technical program
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead design focused teams
  • Proficient in AutoCad or Solidworks & Microsoft Office.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer preferred, or ability to attain registration.

 

Physical and Mental requirements: Required to sit for extended periods of time.
