This position is responsible for leading the company's business development of strategic industrial water and wastewater equipment as well as promoting proprietary PFAS solutions.  In addition, this position will work with local regions and sales representatives to support equipment specific opportunities. The Business Development Manager will directly assist the client with optimizing their water treatment operations, understanding the customer’s value proposition and be able to design a solution to meet and exceed the customer expectations.

 

Remote position with 50-80% travel

Compensation: $100,000-130,000/year

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Sales business plans to accommodate corporate goals
  • Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling, face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking to generate leads
  • Support industrial chemical sales teams with equipment opportunities
  • Promote equipment offerings for multiple markets including food and beverage, solid waste, DOD, and other markets as needed
  • Update and organize software to track customers and projects like CRM
  • Work with Applications, Purchasing, Marketing, Production, Engineering, and Finance departments to coordinate internal processes when necessary
  • Participate in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services
  • Be a technical expert in the marketplace through presentations directly with potential customers as well as at relevant industry conferences
  • Work with the rest of the General Water Engineering management team on strategic planning and executing on the vision and mission of the sales department
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience/knowledge with PFAS
  • 5 years related experience B2B direct/indirect Water Treatment sales experience
  • Highly developed Sales team leadership and coaching, Sales Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting skills
  • Ability to travel when required.
